Interior and Exterior Graphics—Kensing
Kensing produces and supplies natural vitamin E, anionic surfactants, phytosterols, pearlizing agents and other specialty ingredients, primarily for the personal care, health and beauty industries. The manufacturing facility, which spans 310 acres, is located in Kankakee, Illinois and was originally built in 1948. Their office space and building exterior were outdated and did not reflect their present-day products and values. They asked Pepper Group to help make the building more welcoming and better represent their brand, which recently had become its own standalone company under a new and energized ownership group.
Spurred by their upcoming hosting of a new, significant prospect, Kensing wanted a facility that reflected its growth and modern approach. It was also important to create a space where its employees would feel invigorated and emboldened, and where Kensing would be proud to invite future customer-visitors. Pepper Group closely examined both the interior and exterior of the building, looking for opportunities to add warmth, color and personality. As talent marketing experts, Pepper Group understands the importance of using the office environment to amplify messaging with compelling, creative visuals. For many of our clients, these take the form of decals, signs, digital screens, paint, artwork, dimensional exhibits, interactive displays, notes, updates, or demonstrations. We considered all of these in deciding how best to modernize the Kensing facility quickly and affordably, and within a very tight deadline.
We recreated the Kensing space from the outside in, starting with a welcome sign and a bold exterior mural that stands fifty feet tall and includes their new logo, plus imagery and copy originally created for their website and that has been repurposed for use in videos, collateral and other touchpoints. We then turned our attention indoors, rethinking the space starting at the entry door and continuing through the welcoming lobby and down the hall, adding brand-consistent typography and colors, highlighting achievements and embracing their messaging. For these, we tapped into their company values and other expressions, many inspired and requested by the leadership team.
The result is a bright, modern interior that embraces the Kensing brand and elevates visitor and employee experiences.
